Laser Eye Surgery
The immediate effects of corneal modification procedures vary by patient. Some patients no longer need to wear eyeglasses while others require eyeglasses or contact lenses of a lesser strength. Long term effects are still being studied and are unknown at this point; however, all prospective patients should be aware that prescription lenses may eventually be needed for presbyopia (a common vision condition that develops as the eye ages).
